Billie Eilish releases a new theme song for the James bond 007 movie titled “No Time to Die”
Billie Eilish has just released the official theme song for the upcoming blockbuster “No Time to Die” on Thursday, the youngest artist to ever write a song for the 007 franchise
Other artist who have written songs for the Daniel Craig-starring James Bond films, including Chris Cornell (“You Know My Name” for “Casino Royale”), Adele (“Skyfall”), Jack White and Alicia Keys (“Another Way to Die” for “Quantum of Solace”), and Sam Smith (“Writing’s on the Wall” for “Spectre”).
Hopefully, this should give Eilish some more recognition and perhaps even an Oscar following the tradition of the previous years seeing as both Adele, and Smith won for their additions to the Bond series.
The song was written by Eilish in collaboration with her 22-year-old brother and musical collaborator Finneas O’Connell, with orchestral arrangements by renowned composer and Oscar winner Hans Zimmer and British conductor Matt Dunkley. The Smiths legend Johnny Marr plays guitar on the track.
The song will be performed live for the first time at the Brit Awards in London on Feb. 18.
In a press release, Eilish said “It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way. To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honor.”
Watch out for the release of the movie as it will be hitting the theatres in April
